Privacy Policy

Abidio ("we," "us") runs abidiohome.com, a tool that creates AI concept renderings of possible home renovations from your photos. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Photos you upload. We send your photo to our AI provider, Google (Gemini API), to create your rendering, and send the result back to you. We don't save your photos or renderings on our servers, and we don't keep a copy of them. Your photos and designs stay in your browser tab and are gone when you close or reload the page, unless you save them to your device. Google processes them under its Gemini API terms, which may include temporary retention for abuse monitoring.
• Contact information you give us. When you unlock more previews or ask about financing, we collect your first name and your email address or phone number.
• Your design details. With your contact information, we record the changes you previewed (for example, "Flooring: Light Oak") and the estimated project cost shown to you, so we can follow up with relevant information.
• Information stored in your browser. We use your browser's local storage to remember how many free previews you've used and whether you've already shared your contact details, so we don't ask again. This stays on your device.
• Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically processes basic technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. To prevent abuse, we keep a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your IP address, and of your email or phone number if you signed up, with a count of the designs made that day; these counts are deleted automatically after two days.
• Cookies and analytics. We don't use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and we don't track you across other websites.

How we use your information

• To create your concept renderings and rough cost estimates. Renderings include information in the file identifying them as AI-generated.
• To contact you, by the method you chose, about your renovation ideas and financing options, including renovation loan programs.
• To operate, secure and improve the site, and to prevent abuse.

Text messages

If you choose to be contacted by text, you agree to receive messages about your renovation ideas and financing options. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us run Abidio, such as our website host (Vercel), our AI image provider (currently Google's Gemini API), Upstash (which stores the daily usage counts above), and Google Workspace, where we store contact requests. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
• With the renovation loan specialist who follows up on your request, if you asked to be contacted.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Abidio, our users or others.

If we ever start sharing your information with other partners, such as contractors, we'll update this policy first and ask for your consent where required.

How long we keep it

Photos and renderings: we don't keep them (see above). Contact requests: we keep them for as long as needed to follow up with you and for our business records, or as long as the law requires, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe: reply STOP to texts, or email us to stop emails.
• Access or delete your information: email privacy@abidiohome.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
• Clear browser data: clearing your browser's site data removes everything Abidio stored on your device.

California privacy rights

If you live in California, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we've collected about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we share it with;
• Delete personal information we've collected from you;
• Correct inaccurate personal information; and
• Not be discriminated against for using these rights.

In the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email or phone number, IP address) and information about the renovations you previewed, from you and your device, for the purposes listed above. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. We don't use or disclose sensitive personal information.

To make a request, email privacy@abidiohome.com. We'll confirm your request by contacting you through the email or phone number you gave us, and respond within 45 days. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you.

Do Not Track: because we don't track you across websites, we don't change how the site works when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal; there's no tracking to turn off.

California "Shine the Light": we don't share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Security

We use encrypted (HTTPS) connections and reputable service providers to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Abidio is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with an updated effective date.
